The 2026 ENLIGHT Incubator Grants: Inspiring education for the future

The 2026 Incubator Grant Call, the third and final round of ENLIGHT Incubator Grants, focused on developing joint study programmes and international educational initiatives that strengthen collaboration between our ten ENLIGHT universities.

The ENLIGHT Incubator Grants support the alliance’s academics and students in creating new innovative teaching and learning initiatives across the alliance's six focus areas. Selected projects receive grants of up to €30,000 for the development of joint study programmes and up to €20,000 for innovative joint educational initiatives.

Over the coming year, the 11 selected Incubator Grant projects will develop new joint curricula, summer schools, micro-credentials, and other collaborative learning opportunities that will benefit our students and staff across ENLIGHT.

Selected ENLIGHT Incubator Grants 2026

Together, these selected projects reflect our shared ambition to create innovative, international learning opportunities that strengthen cooperation across the ENLIGHT alliance. Over the coming months, they will develop new educational formats, deepen academic collaboration, and contribute to a more connected and future-oriented European Higher Education Area.

Every proposal matters

The third and final round of ENLIGHT Incubator Grants attracted 21 proposals, reflecting the strong engagement across our alliance to advancing collaborative education.    Behind every proposal stand dedicated teams of academics, educators, and professional staff united by a shared goal: to strengthen international collaboration and create new opportunities for students and colleagues across Europe.

To everyone who contributed to these incredible proposals: thank you. Your ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm continue to shape a brighter future for the ENLIGHT alliance.

Looking ahead

As the third and final ENLIGHT Incubator Grants call, these selected projects will begin implementation in September and continue until 31 October 2027. Together, they will transform innovative ideas into real educational opportunities, demonstrating once again that international collaboration remains one of ENLIGHT's greatest strengths.
