Ready for the Challenges of Tomorrow: 12 New Online Self-Learning Units Available
Digitization is rapidly reshaping almost every aspect of our academic, professional, and daily lives. To help you navigate these changes, the "Skills for the (digital) future" program—designed by experts at the University of Bern—is now open to the entire ENLIGHT community.
How It Works
Expert instructors provide short, focused inputs, followed by interactive quizzes, practical exercises, and in-depth assignments that allow you to explore each subject at your own pace.
Each topic is structured as a two-hour online learning unit. ENLIGHT students and staff can access the units using their home university credentials.
What You Can Learn
There are 12 online self-learning units available, through which you can develop future-focused skills across a variety of disciplines.
- Technology & AI: Explore machine learning bias (Fairer Algorithms), responsible tool use (Using AI-Powered Language Tools), and core coding concepts (Programming).
- Society, Politics & Ethics: Examine modern Hate Speech, digital information consumption, and Ethics & Digitalization.
- Business & Future Work: Dive into changing economic models (Digitalization changes the way we work, pay and compete) and digital business strategy (Successful Start-ups).
- Personal & Academic Growth: Strengthen your Critical Thinking, explore health tracking (Embodied Experience in the Digital Age), navigate Online Security & Law, and engage with future-proof Education & Digitality.
ECTS Credits & Access
- ECTS Recognition: Students interested in receiving academic credit for completing these units should contact their home university's academic advisor or international office regarding local ECTS recognition and validation processes.
