Promoting inclusive and green mobility in ENLIGHT

To make student and staff mobility more inclusive and climate friendly are two overarching goals of ENLIGHT that are a subject of discussion in various of our activities. Especially in the Work Package Connect the issue is one of the main focus points.

Call for Papers - Young Researcher Conference 'German Studies in the Semiosphere' (Tartu, 14-15 October 2021)

On the 14th–15th of October 2021 a postgraduate conference will take place at the University of Tartu, Estonia on the following topic: Interactions between German studies and neighboring disciplines. The conference is part of a doctoral school funded by the DAAD and would like to evaluate and explore the challenges and opportunities of interdisciplinary work in German studies by looking at specific projects. (Post) PhD students in philology or in other humanities are invited, who engage in interdisciplinary interactions with German studies in their projects.

2nd Göttingen Call for Applications in ENLIGHT

To support joint activities between the nine ENLIGHT universities in the area of teaching and learning, research and administration the University of Göttingen will fund, with support of the DAAD and BMBF, different projects for affiliates of the University of Göttingen and its ENLIGHT partners. Besides mobility schemes and windows, resources for the organisation and implementation of various learning formats and other events that are part of the ENLIGHT portfolio are eligible measures for funding.

Both, new and established collaborations or projects are welcome for application. In any case, but especially when developing teaching and learning offers or exchange opportunities, it will be helpful to consult your International Office in order to make use of existing agreements or to identify potential synergies with departments at ENLIGHT partner institutions.

Please note that only researchers, staff and PhD students from the University of Göttingen (incl. University Medical Center Göttingen) can apply.

Deadline for application is 18 July 2021.

All proposed projects must be thematically linked to one of the ENLIGHT challenges or other ENLIGHT focus areas. The integration of a minimum of three ENLIGHT partners in the proposal is required.

MA Educational Technology at University of Tartu

The University of Tartu offers a one-year partly online Master’s programme in educational technology. The programme has developed so far as a cosmopolitan community of educational practitioners (teachers, lecturers, coaches but also entrepreneurs involved in the educational secto) who would like to explore alternative teaching and learning practices with digital technologies and gain a more reflective stance on the process.

ENLIGHT Regional Academies bringing European cities and communities closer together

As of April 30 all partners in ENLIGHT have established their Regional Academies. The Regional Academies connects ENLIGHT to local and regional actors within each partner university’s communities. It is through regular dialogue in partnership with cities and regions, civil society organizations, industry and commerce that ENLIGHT will be able to identify the local interpretations of ENLIGHT’s flagship challenges.

University of Groningen launches 'Aletta Year'

The Univeristy of Groningen launches the Aletta Year to highlight the theme of ‘Women in Academia’. The University community will be honouring Aletta Jacobs with a year-long programme filled with jointly organized activities to draw continuing attention to the role of diversity in academia.
